We are lucky to be in the midst of nature. The hotel is located high up in a very green valley (Algar River), and except in the direction towards the ocean, the building is completely surrounded by mountains up to 1800 m. The vegetation is predominantly pine woods and cultivated terraces of oranges, lemons, nisperos, avocados and almonds. Famous local attractions include the Waterfalls of Algar (walking distance) and Guadalest Castle (approximately 20 minutes by car).

Activities
Trekking

Directly from the house you can start several walks of different grades, from easy strolls to more challenging hikes for walkers of all ages and abilities. In the area close to the hotel are many marked and proven hiking paths. We offer maps and other information in your language about the best walks.

Mountainbiking

The countless tracks in the countryside invite you to explore the area by mountain bike.You can ride for hours without seeing anybody, just mountain goats, ruins of old farmhouses and lots of nature.

Cycling

Bolulla (the nearest village) is often on one of the stages of the Vuelta de España - Spain's equivalent of the Tour de France multi-stage bike race. This village is the starting point of a mountain stage up to the Coll de Rattes with its breathtaking views and spectacular serpentines. The relatively flatter coastline roads are also very popular. This variety of excellent biking terrain (together with the excellent weather) is why this area is chosen by many professional teams from all around the world for training.

Golf

This area is one of the biggest golfing regions in Spain, with 7 courses in operation and 2 more to be finished soon, and the benefit of our extraordinary climate in which golf can be played all year round. If you want to improve your game, we can find a teacher who speaks your language. If you want to enjoy playing in a variety of settings, we can arrange for you to play on 5 different local courses during your 7 day stay. If you like, we can also take you to the course. Tennis

There are lots of tennis courts with different surfaces in our area. We can book your preferred playing times and courts in advance of your holiday. We can also arrange a teacher who speaks your language. Or you could book a Spanish-speaking teacher and this way have Spanish lessons at the same time!

Watersports

Scuba diving, Surfing, Sailing, Kitesurfing...there are several good diving spots in the region, as well as diving courses and organized tours.

Sea & Beach

The sea is close and offers not only the possibility of enjoying all kinds of water sports but also a variety of beaches, ranging from broad sandy ones to hidden coves with pebbles where the mountains reach the ocean. Another great way spend the day in this second world of our hotel. We will tell you all you need to know.

Terra Mitica

This theme park is one of the largest and best equipped in Europe, and shows the Mediterranean cultures at the apogee of their power and influence. For example, you will find Egyptian pyramids of extraordinary size and a Roman coliseum that almost could have been taken straight from the days of the Roman empire. All this combined with all the latest high-tech attractions.

Altea

Altea is a former fishing village which has a beautiful old quarter with a plaza high above, dominated by a church with a blue Byzantine-style dome from the times of the Moors. This small town has become well-known for its large number of artists from all over Spain and offers many exhibitions and galleries. It also has one of Spain's finest performing arts centres and the University of Alicante has recently opened an arts campus there. Visitors will also find a whole range of restaurants and bars on the town's large pedestrian waterfront walking area.
